I had to check in here in advance of the ‘real’ opening. I wasn’t disappointed.

I avoided the opening concert. It screened on BBC2 last night without much fanfare; in fact it was an extremely low key affair. They are keeping the big guns for the opening tonight, our time.

I am looking forward to it. Scotland, of course, will not be taking the field.
