You just mentioned 2 favorites of mine, Rock Your Baby by George McRae and Rock the Boat by Hues Corporation. I wasn’t even in utero yet in 1974… wasn’t even a gleam in my parents’ eyes yet but for some reason music from that era speaks to me.

Thanks for the memories – 1974 was high hormone teen years for me, and “Rock the Boat”, “Rock Your Baby” and Gwen McRae’s “Rockin’ Chair” were in high play on the radio.

There’s only one Blanco track I remember, the German version of Daddy Don’t You Walk So Fast, but I don’t have that. Mireille Mathieu might have featured, but having to pick between her music and that of the mighty Jürgen Marcus, there can be only one winner.

I have “Dänen lügen nicht” on LP, but couldn’t find it to rip it to MP3…

just realised – it’s ’74 already and I’m missing (maybe that’ the wrong choice of words tho) Mireille Mathieu and Roberto Blanco. Or maybe you just had an incredibly good taste in music back then already and ignored them.

AaaNiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiTa is actually the only Costa Cordalis song I remember..and I’m not proud if it. After that he was all perm and fake tan and embarrassing.
And if you had Otto’s Dänen lügen nicht.. I’d be totally chuffed.
